Beauty tips
Skincare to do’s
Always wash your face, especially take off your makeup before you go to bed.
Use a cleanser and a moisturizer. My personal fave is Marykay Timewise Anti aging brand, been using it since I was 19. I take an extra 5 mins in the shower. If you get in the habit of washing your face you will have clear skin and feel hydrated before going to bed.
A jade roller is your best friend. Invest in one! thank me later
Hydrogels and charcoal face masks are part of my weekly routine.
I learned this one in my late twenties.. Drink at h20! coming from a former coffee addict who was always dehydrated…
Makeup
The key is to look like your not wearing any…
Natural day look. Mascara, concealer and. a nude/soft pink matte lip. I don’t wear foundation but if you do wear something that blends with your face down to your neck. Recommendations smash box, cc cream, light coverage.
bonus tip: when testing foundation apply it to the center of your cheek and see if it blends in, if you can still see it your using a shade that is too dark for you.
GNO’s mascara, eyeliner, brown/smokey eyeshadow and a pop of color matte lips/gloss.
I subscribe to Ipsy and it’s a monthly subscription 5 new products tailor to your beauty needs and it has introduced me to a variety of brands. I personally like to use sulfate free and vegan brands. One of my personal fave’s for mascara is Thrive cosmetics.
Hair
I have had a range of hair colors throughout the years from Red to blue…LOL a girl gotta try it all! Find a good hairstylist that understands and cares about your hair needs and loves what she/he does!
Do hydration hair masks, massage your hair in the shower and invest in a wet brush.
Wash your hair 3 times a week, one time with purple shampoo (processed hair)
Avoid box hair dye…and bleach at home kits.. especially if your a natural burnette.
Try not to put heat on your hair, but if you do use a heat protector.
